The Fund is flexible in the instruments of financing it can use, from equity to debt and anything in between. This means it can offer innovative financing solutions for projects anywhere along the project life cycle (early Project Development through acquisitions, refinancing and exit), which is very useful in the Ghanaian/African environment, often characterized by limits on the different financing pools necessary for sustainable infrastructure financing.
Terms
The Fund applies market-based principles in setting the terms and conditions of each Financing, specifically pricing. These terms and conditions consider the intrinsic commercial and macroeconomic risks of each Project, the cost of funds and the need to earn an appropriate return on the Fund’s capital.
