Our business model addresses the fundamentals that we must have in place to manage our risks and help us deliver our strategy. In order to achieve its objective, the Board may approve relevant intermediary interventions to stimulate private sector interest in the Fund and may also authorize direct investment by the Fund in Ghanaian infrastructure projects. In particular, the Fund may:
- Invest directly in Ghanaian infrastructure projects through debt, equity or other financial instruments.
- Partner with other investors through the use of strategic investment platforms such as public-private partnerships (PPPs) and special purpose vehicles (SPVs).
As much as possible, preference shall be given to Ghanaian-owned entities or entities with significant Ghanaian ownership that seek to be co-investors with the Fund.
The Fund will follow any other operational guidelines and procedures outlined in the Investment Policy Statement approved by the Board.
- The Fund will carry a diversified portfolio of investments in order to reduce risk.
- For each project, a stringent due diligence process will be adhered to and careful analysis of valuation undertaken on a consistent basis, so that the investment strategy will reduce downside risk and enhance return.
